As Jason and Jim near the end of their 31-day odyssey through Stephen King film adaptations, they each encounter a different conclusion in their viewings of 1408
If 1408 has a fault it is in being too competently made. This leaves our Cinesthetes with little to latch on to, but they nonetheless discuss the film for the requisite amount of time. John Cusack plays a famous author staying in a haunted hotel room, who is tortured by said room. Also, Samuel L. Jackson gets a chance to really act, instead of just being an angry, yelling man.
Join a filmmaker (and sometimes film teacher) and a film teacher (and sometimes filmmaker) as they venture into the dark heart of their own befuddled relationship to culture, the youth, the internet, friendship, love, hate, time, space and, of course: *m*o*v*i*e*s*. Come hear what we see.
