“Sometimes they are in our hearts. Sometimes they are in our thoughts. But if they are unhappy enough — something’s not been settled — sometimes they come back.”
In episode 17 of Hell to the King, Jason and Jim talk about ‘Sometimes They Come Back,’ a film whose title acts to give itself an incredible amount of leeway with its ‘ghosts-coming-back-from-the-dead’ plot. The 1991 TV movie is filled to the brim with Stephen King’s favorite things — ’50s-style greaser gangs, cool cars and children suffering terrifying deaths — and of course, Jason and Jim have lots to say about all of them.
Join a filmmaker (and sometimes film teacher) and a film teacher (and sometimes filmmaker) as they venture into the dark heart of their own befuddled relationship to culture, the youth, the internet, friendship, love, hate, time, space and, of course: *m*o*v*i*e*s*. Come hear what we see.
