Cinesthesia presents the first installment of Hell to the King, a 31-part miniseries of Stephen King film adaptations
Welcome to Split Tooth Media’s October Horror series. The oh-so humble Cinesthesia hosts, Jason and Jim, are embarking on a monumental 31-day crusade through the troublesome world of Stephen King movie adaptations. Can they do it? Only time will tell. In this first episode, they deal with two of the earliest and most prominent attempts made by Hollywood auteurs to translate King novels onto the silver screen with Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 The Shining and Brian De Palma’s 1976 Carrie.
Join a filmmaker (and sometimes film teacher) and a film teacher (and sometimes filmmaker) as they venture into the dark heart of their own befuddled relationship to culture, the youth, the internet, friendship, love, hate, time, space and, of course: *m*o*v*i*e*s*. Come hear what we see.
