For its fifth year, October Horror returns with a vengeance!
If you’re reading this, that means you have survived long enough to take part in…. October Horror Pt. V! Where so many horror movie series reach a fifth installment and run out of steam or go completely off the rails — for the latter, this can often make for great results — Split Tooth is proud to say, we’ve only just begun!
Just when you thought it might be safe to explore Split Tooth’s latest offerings, we have a whole new lineup of terrors to unleash: alien invasions, rambunctious cryptids, vengeful ghosts haunting international franchises, sensitive vampires, avant garde nightmares, ghosts in the Outback, and underwater beasts rising from the deep! October Horror has it all this year.
Throughout the month, we will be sharing new horror criticism almost daily, with a mini-series devoted to Backyard Horror productions, and a new series of Split Picks podcasts focusing on Japanese Horror. Stay tuned for online film premieres, interviews with filmmakers, and a month’s worth of long-form writing on some of the best and most fascinating works of horror cinema. You are bound to discover some new favorite films to scare your friends with!
This list will be updated daily as titles are added every weekday throughout the month. Follow along with the series on our Facebook, Twitter, and Letterboxd pages to stay updated with all things October Horror!
